The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it's alarmed with regard to the higher variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The service position produced for intervention activities a high inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it tough with the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra methods to empower the servicing of all prospects and maximize usage of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
